Pamela J. Azarian Friday, December 14, 1934 - Thursday, June 8, 2017

Albany - Pamela J. (Reinhart) Azarian, 82, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2017, at St. Peter's Nursing Home.  Pam was born in Chatham, NY on December 14, 1934.  She graduated from Albany High School in 1952  After high school, she went to work at Kings Department Store in Albany, where she met her husband Steve.  They were married in February, 1961.  Shortly after that, Steve was transferred by Kings to Hyannis (Cape Cod), MA, where their daughter, Nadine, was born.  At that time, they decided Pam would be a "stay at home Mom," to care for their cherished daughter.  They only lived in Hyannis for two years, because they wanted to move back to Albany to be close to all their relatives.  In the early 1980's Pam worked part-time at Sportique Clothing Store in Albany.

Pam was an avid reader, a loyal Red Sox fan, and an animal lover, especially cats & horses.  One of the things that gave her the most joy in life was spending time with her daughter Nadine and granddaughter, Julia.  She selflessly cared for Julia the first few years of her life, while Nadine was working.  Pam is predeceased by her husband of 52 years Stephen Azarian; her parents, Fred and Mary (Fountain) Reinhart; her brother Fred and his wife Margaret, two of their children Christine and Paul Reinhart; and her brother Thomas Reinhart (Aileen).  She is survived by her devoted daughter Nadine Azarian, and beloved granddaughter, Julia Azarian-Kozer, the light of her life.  She is also survived by a number of brothers & sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Donations can be made in Pam's memory to the Mohawk & Hudson Humane Society.
